Kathryn has almost 10 years of urban planning experience, specializing in conventional and form-based development codes, long range planning, and affordable housing policy. Kathryn has focused her career on assessing, modernizing, streamlining, and implementing zoning regulations for cities across the U.S. Her strengths are managing complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams, diagnosing existing regulatory conditions, creating zoning recommendations, coordinating community outreach, and producing high-quality deliverables. Kathryn’s approach is marked by working closely with communities to reach consensus on long-term goals and developing feasible code update strategies focused on revitalization, resilience, equity and fostering a sense of place. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a Master of City and Regional Planning degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
