Anthony C. Wood
FBCI Involvement
Anthony C. Wood has been involved in the field of philanthropy for over 25 years. Since l993 he has been the Executive Director of the Ittleson Foundation funding in the fields of the Environment, AIDS, and Mental Health. He has also acts as a senior philanthropic advisory to several other foundations. He has served on a wide variety of not-for-profit boards including the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Land Trust Alliance. With an undergraduate degree in History from Kenyon College and a Master of Urban & Regional Planning from the University of Illinois, Mr. Wood has also been professionally involved in the fields of planning and preservation and serves on the board of the Orton Family Foundation. Mr. Wood is the past Chair of the Preservation League of New York State, Partners for Sacred Places, the Drayton Hall Site Council, and is the founder and chair of the New York Preservation Archive Project. Mr. Wood is the author of Preserving New York: Winning the Right to Protect a City’s Landmarks and for over a decade served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Historic Preservation at the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture Planning and Preservation.
