FBCI Involvement
Randy Hutcheson is the Manager of Urban Design and Historic Preservation for the City of Fort Worth, Texas. Randy had dedicated his career to public service with a primary goal of assisting grass roots community efforts to achieve more livable communities. Over the last 20 years, he has worked in a variety of public/non – profit settings advocating contextually based zoning approaches to achieve community visions. In 2006-7, he assisted the Fort Worth South community in their grass roots efforts to develop a Form Based Code which won the 2008 Driehaus FBC award. He holds a B.A. in Geography from the College of Liberal Arts – Auburn University and a M.C.P from the College of Architecture, Design, and Construction at Auburn University. He studied Scandinavian Design at the University of Oslo and developed the community participation methodology for the Plan of Nashville.
