FBCI at CNU 23 : the future of form-based coding
FBCI will host a two-hour facilitated discussion about the future of form-based coding. The roundtable-style discussion will occur at the 23rd Congress for the New Urbanism in Dallas, Texas on Friday May 1st. It will follow the presentation of the Driehaus Form-Based Code Award. FBCI’s executive director Joel Russell will moderate.
The discussion is not meant to consider the fine points of coding. Rather, it will consider coding in the context of regulatory reform, looking for ways to bring important issues to the attention of more decision-makers. Participants will include the Driehaus Award jury members and others with diverse viewpoints.
CNU 23 will bring together over 1500 architects, designers, planners, developers, and leading urban thinkers from across America. During four days, attendees will connect and collaborate on strategies for building better places — from revitalizing historic downtowns to retrofitting sprawling suburbs for walkability. Neighborhood tours and hands-on workshops will explore current placemaking tactics and challenges in the context of the Dallas–Fort Worth region.
